CHRONICLES OF A BENUE CORPER (1) NYSC registration is on, my fellow interns were saying all around the hospital. It's the first day and I was still very busy in the theatre. I couldn't register on the first day, so the next day I *tissued* from the hospital to do my NYSC registration. I was tired but fortunately for me there was no queue at the cafe. I quietly chose Benue, Kaduna, Ondo and Delta states.      Fast forward to the night before the posting was out. I had gone out with a friend and as he was about dropping me off at my aunt's , he called poki ,what were the states you chose during your NYSC registration? I told him and he answered and said you will be posted to Benue State. God forbid, I hurriedly said. Me that i was already dreaming of Kaduna. He quietly told me postings of health personnels is done based on need.  That said, my dear friend zoomed off.      I slept well that night until 2am, I switched on my data and saw some messages about the posting..s

MOVIE: THE SHACK  So I watched this interesting and inspiring movie last night, I didn't regret the time spent watching. It is an American Christian drama film written by John Fusco and was released 2017. The story was centered on Mack Phillips, who after suffering a bad childhood,suffers a family tragedy as an adult causing him to spiral into a deep depression that causes him to question his innermost beliefs. Facing a crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter urging him to an abandoned shack in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack journeys to the shack and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa. Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever. ME AND MY BIG MOUTH  The mouth houses the tongue right?       The tongue according to scripture, is the most ill-disciplined member of our body.  Someone has observed that three stages are involved in the act of verbal communication;  1. IMPULSE 2. CONSIDERATION  3. SPEECH  The person  who makes every effort to add self control to their faith pauses between impulse and speech and gives himself off herself to consideration. Your degree of self Control will govern the length of time you pause at the stage of consideration. IF you pause too long then it can give the impression of indecision.  We should simply pause long enough to be sure that the thing we say is the thing "WE WANT AND OUGHT TO SAY" The length and strength of our consideration determines our maturity.  No consideration no Character  So the next time you wanna give it hot or r espond harshly, pause and carefully consider what you are about to say.  Cc: Everyday with Jesus.  Tha
